课程简介
本课程将带领学生穿越电影、走进文字,通过对电影、剧本和文学作品之间嬗变关系的分析,激发并提高学生的批判思维、分析写作以及创意写作技能。本课程每课时后都会有学以致用的练习作业,包括对媒体素材、视觉元素和文本材料的深入分析、写作以及剧本创作。这些训练能够使学生具有批判的眼光、分析的能力以及写作的技巧,为其大学申请及以后的学习打下良好的基础。
本课程包含基础课、进阶课以及高阶课三个层次,已完成一阶段学习的学员将被邀请入下一阶段的学习。基础课程侧重于对学生在基本的分析技能和对创造性的理解及思维养成方面的培养。进阶课程侧重于创意写作,通过将传统短篇小说改编为剧本的创作实验,使学生的分析能力、表达能力、逻辑建构力以及文本编辑能力等方面得到具体的实践训练。高阶课程则通过对经典电影及其源文本的全面分析实现对学生的批判思维、逻辑统筹、创作能力和技能进行全方位的提升,每位同学在课程结束时都能够创建一个有明确主题、有一定深度、有相当技术含量、并且引人入胜的视频作品。

Mr. Kemick老师:获奖诗人、记者、小说家。他的新书《I Am Herod》带领读者深入幕后、揭开全球最宏大的宗教事件之一的真相。他还出版过诗集《Caribou Run》。Mr. Kemick老师从事诗歌、纪实文学和小说三体创作,还在英加两国出版过不同的文选。获奖众多,包括两届国家优秀杂志文学奖。Mr. Kemick老师现在是卡尔加里大学庞巴迪学者、英语文学/创意写作在读博士。

获奖剧作家和话剧导演
Mr. Donovan是一位导演、剧作家、影视剧本创作者,既进行艺术创作,也参与艺术实践。他指导过二十多部话剧和电影,曾获得过最佳导演奖项,也经常亲身参与舞台与银幕表演。其最新的作品是将苏格兰剧作家Anthony Nielson的获奖剧作The Wonderful World of Dissocia改编成电影,并由其亲自执导、由2020 Citadel Theatre Young公司拍摄。在话剧和电影之余,Donovan还热衷于教学。自疫情以来,他一直从事在线教学并在中学任教。
