​课程简介

本课程专为帮助学生进入AP英语课程(AP English Language)而设计,重点涵盖AP语言课程的核心内容,内容同时适用于AP文学(AP English Literature)课程。

课程核心目标是通过精读非虚构文本培养学生的修辞分析能力。学生将学会通过审视文本的论点、主张、证据和风格选择,深入解析每篇文章的修辞情境;以文章为范本,学生还将练习撰写具有修辞说服力的自主论证。课程同时涉及文学分析训练:通过细读短篇文学作品,探索批判性分析方法,学习以证据为基础的文本阐释技巧,并在写作与讨论中清晰表达。

每堂课前,学生需完成指定文本阅读,并准备参与师生研讨式课堂讨论;此外,还需提交一份写作作业,给导师批改与反馈。

Mr. Kemick老师:获奖诗人、记者、小说家。他的新书《I Am Herod》带领读者深入幕后、揭开全球最宏大的宗教事件之一的真相。他还出版过诗集《Caribou Run》。Mr. Kemick老师从事诗歌、纪实文学和小说三体创作,还在英加两国出版过不同的文选。获奖众多,包括两届国家优秀杂志文学奖。Mr. Kemick老师现在是卡尔加里大学庞巴迪学者、英语文学/创意写作在读博士。

Dr. Prusko老师现任教于阿尔伯塔大学英语文学和电影系,开设文学、写作和传媒各类人文课程。教书育人逾二十载,屡获文学院颁发的“杰出教学奖”殊荣。Dr. Prusko教学和科研齐头并进,专研莎士比亚、近代戏剧和儿童文学,频发著作。
